Patrick Beaudine
Head of School

Mr. Beaudine’s academic credentials include:

BBA Finance from the University of Notre Dame in 1986.
MABS from Moody Bible Institute in 1997.
ThM from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2000.
MA Education with a concentration in Educational Leadership from Concordia University Portland in 2016.

Mr. Beaudine taught for a total of 16 years at Vail Christian Academy and Vail Christian High School in Colorado. He taught various AP classes including AP Human Geography, AP World History and AP U.S. History. Previously at the academy, he taught Bible, Logic, and Social Studies classes. He also coached basketball for fifteen years, football for three years, and served two years as Athletic Director, in addition to serving two years as Assistant Principal. In 2016, he answered God's call to become the new Head of School here at Mitchell Road Christian Academy.

His interests include - family activities, working out, reading, music, basketball, watching football, and enjoying a fresh cup of strong coffee.

His favorite Bible verse is – is Philippians 4:13 because it reminds him that he is fully able to achieve all that God has called him to do because through Christ he finds sufficient strength and power.

Mr. Beaudine loves MRCA because of the great community of parents, teachers, staff, and students. He feels blessed to be able to serve in a ministry where we see daily evidence of the living God in our midst as we fix our eyes on Jesus Christ.

Gail Simmons
Gail Simmons

Mrs. Simmons has been at MRCA for 30 years.

Her interests include - running, spending time with her family and cheering for the Clemson Tigers.

Her favorite Bible verse is – Psalm 46:1and 10.  “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.  Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

In her opinion, the best thing about MRCA is the partnership with parents to provide a strong academic, biblically based education for children. 

The two most interesting things she wants someone to know about MRCA are –

MRCA offers a Transitional T-1 program to those parents who desire to give their child an additional year before entering 1st grade.

The middle school students at MRCA have many opportunities to develop leadership skills before entering high school. 

Steve Harper
Steve Harper
Business Manager

Mr. Harper has 19 years of business management experience.

This is Mr. Harper’s first year at MRCA.

His interests include boating, golfing, camping, and watching Cleveland sports teams.

His favorite Bible verse is Philippians 3:13-14 “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

In his opinion, the best thing about MRCA is the family atmosphere.

The two most interesting things he wants someone to know about MRCA are:

MRCA uses an App called Sycamore that communicates homework assignments and student grades in real time that help parents be involved in the academic process.

While many Christian schools are either struggling financially or closing these days, MRCA continues to stay fiscally strong by the grace of God.

Aaron Thomas
Aaron Thomas
Director of Spiritual Formation

Mr. Thomas has 18 years teaching experience.

His interests include - golf, carpentry, and smoking meat.

His favorite Bible verse is - Psalm 73:25,26.  “Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you.  My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

In his opinion, the best thing about MRCA is there is real Biblical Worldview Integration.  The teachers love Jesus and the students.

The two most interesting things he wants someone to know about MRCA are –

MRCA is the best investment for your money (you will pay for your child’s education no matter where they go: Emotional, Psychological, Spiritually) What dividends will you receive?

That through MRCA’s desire to be Biblically excellent we have also become academically superior as a by-product.

Mr. O’Leath has 20 years teaching experience.

His interests include working out.

His favorite Bible verse is – Matthew 6:33.  “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

In his opinion, the best thing about MRCA is the teachers’ genuine care and love for the kids.

The two most interesting things he wants someone to know about MRCA are -

That our first priority is our concern for each child’s relationship with Christ.

The teachers will do whatever necessary to help the kids grow spiritually as well as academically.

Mrs. Martin has been part of the MRCA family for six years first as a parent and School Board member, and now as an employee.

Her interests include – hiking, family outings, reading, tennis, crossword puzzles, and cooking.

Her favorite Bible verse is – Isaiah 26:3.  "You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you."

In her opinion, the best thing about MRCA is teaching  students a Christian worldview and the display of grace its teachers show their students.

Meg Matthews
Meg Matthews
ACE (After Care Eagles) Director

Meg Matthews has 4 years teaching experience.

Her interests include -  being outside, spending time with family, thrift shopping and watching Alabama football. ROLL TIDE!

Her favorite Bible verse is - 2 Corinthians 12:8-10
8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

In her opinion, the best thing about MRCA is the student/teacher relationships.

The two most interesting things she wants someone to know about MRCA are –

How warm and welcoming the staff and faculty make you feel the second you walk in the door.
