At Mitchell Road Christian Academy, we are meeting the needs of 21st Century learners by implementing Problem-Based Learning and other Inquiry-Based Instructional strategies. This equips our students to be creative, critical, collaborative problem solvers. Instead of being passive receivers of information through lectures or reading about a topic, our students actively inquire about the world around them through the lens of a Biblical Worldview education. Problem-Based Learning prepares students to create innovative solutions to challenges that they face as they reach high school, college, and the workforce.
Our classroom teachers, with the guidance of our Curriculum Coordinator, are responsible for the development of our academically challenging curriculum and use a variety of instructional materials and textbooks for instruction. Each class is not tied to only one textbook, but multiple textbooks and resources may be used to best meet the educational goals and objectives of the course.
