As a school we have adopted a form of interaction with students that we believe is Biblical and views each child as an individual image bearer of God. This approach handles discipline differently than a completely behavioristic program. Relationships with students and getting to the heart are ultimately more valuable than simply changing a students behavior temporarily. Our rules and values have not changed, just our approach to how we address choices that are made about those rules. We believe they should LOVING and LOGICALLY connect the choices to the consequence. Click here to read the Core Beliefs about Love and Logic that we as a school have adopted. (To visit the Love and Logic website click on the Love and Logic logo)

For each kindergarten and elementary class, the Room Mother is the organizer of classroom parties and projects, and the one who depends on other parents for help. The Room Mothers assist the teachers with planning and giving three parties during the school year. These parties are the Fall Party, the Christmas Party, and the End-of-the-Year Party. The Valentine Party is optional. Room Mothers may assist the teachers according to the needs in the classroom.
MOMS (Moms of Middle Schoolers)
This group of mothers is responsible for recognizing the middle school students and teachers. It is their goal to make every student feel special and appreciated. They decorate lockers for special recognitions, provide snacks for our students, and recognize the middle school teachers and staff birthdays. Any parent can be involved. Call the middle school office, 864-268-2210, ext. 309, for more information.
Moms-in-Prayer is a weekly gathering of parents who meet to pray for the children of MRCA, their teachers, and their administrators. The meeting time and place of this group will be announced at the beginning of the school year. Moms-in-Prayer believes that prayer makes a difference.
