Guatemala Mission Trip
Again this year, Mitchell Road Christian Academy will take a group of 19 people (13 students, 6 adults) to Panajachel, Guatemala to work with the San Andreas Christian School during Easter Break, April 12 - 21st. The mission project this year is the biggest one we have been asked to take one. The San Andreas Christian School has asked MRCA to help them complete the second floor classroom project and renovate their basketball court/athletic area. This is a big project since we willl need to purchase building supplies, which we can't take from here, in Guatemala before we arrive. Therefore, we need to raise the necessary money to provide for these construction needs. Since we do not have an estimated cost for these materials, we are challenging each class to raise and give whatever monetary amount they feel led to give as we trust God to provide for the construciton needs/materials.
The theme for the trip this year is "Building the Walls." We would challenge you to consider giving monetarily to help purchase the bricks and mortar needed to complete the classroom project at San Andreas Christian School. Our hope is that when we finish the upper classrooms and the athletic area projects, the message we leave behind with the school and with the community is that "God cares for you and so do we!"
