Transitional First Grade (T1)
Transitional First Grade (T1) is a class is designed for those students who would benefit from an additional year after completing K5 and before going to 1st grade. The classroom provides a structured setting for students to learn, grow and develop academically, spiritually, and socially. The curriculum uses manipulative materials combined with supplemental workbooks. The reading program utilizes phonetic instruction and high frequency sight words to encourage good reading skills. Following directions, building independent skills as well as developing good work habits are emphasized throughout the year.
