VFW Writing Contest, Patriots Pen
Camille Reader, an eighth grader at Mitchell Road Christian Academy (MRCA), received 2nd place in the local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 1845 Patriots Pen essay contest. Camille's essay was about honoring our nation's veterans at appropriate times. Nationally, each year more than 100,000 students in grades 6, 7, and 8 participate in the contest which encourages students to write about their views on democracy.
