Problem Solving, Researching, and Working Together

The Learning Commons is a dynamic environment where our teachers and students are encouraged to problem-solve, research, and work together. Part library and part computer lab, this area is fully customizable to our teachers’ needs. Technology electives are conducted in the Learning Commons as well as Typing Club, storytime for younger students, and teacher-led research sessions.

Students begin technology classes in K5 by learning the basics of using computers. Depending on our students’ ages, we also teach typing courses, coding, how to generate presentations, as well as the importance of being responsible citizens in the digital age.

We give many opportunities for our students to enjoy the books we have on campus. Students are free to check out books, take them home for a time, and exchange them when they are ready for more.
