Lunchroom Schedule

• 4th Grade: 11:00 am - 11:25 am

Ordering Lunch

All lunch ordering is done through the FACTS Family Portal which can be accessed on the MRCA App or by clicking here.  Lunch orders can be made up to two (2) weeks in advance. All vendor orders need to be placed by 8:00 am (8:50 am on Thursday) the day of. We provide alternative lunch options daily (corndogs, Lunchables, Uncrustables) if your child forgets to bring a lunch or order in the mornings. We also provide a variety of fruit, chips, and drinks that are always available for purchase in the lunchroom and will be billed through FACTS payable within 10 days.

Heat Ups

K3 through 4th grade students may bring food from home to be heated, not cooked, in a warming oven. Foil, metal, glass, and microwave safe plastic are ideal, and containers should be no more than 4” tall. Ziploc bags are not recommended. All food items should be clearly marked with the student’s first and last name and grade. Food items are delivered to the lunchroom by 8:45 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, and by 9:20 a.m. on Thursdays.

5th -8th grade students must place their heat-up meals in the designated crate in their hallway before reporting to Homebase. Crates will close at the following times:

• 8:15 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday
• 8:50 AM on Thursday

 
Late submissions will not be accepted. Students will not be permitted to leave class to place food in the heat-up crate. Those who forget or arrive late may use the microwaves in the cafeteria. Microwave access will be supervised, and students are expected to use the equipment responsibly and safely. Lunches should be packed in microwave-safe containers and require minimal heating time—up to 3 minutes. Purposeful misuse of the microwave(s) will result in the forfeiture of microwave privileges. In such instances, the student may either consume their lunch as prepared at home or decline to eat it altogether.

Snacks and Drinks

The lunchroom has a variety of snacks and drinks available for students to purchase. In addition to the regular offerings available to all students, middle schoolers also can purchase ice cream at lunch time. Effort has been made to provide healthy options, but there are also some more indulgent options as well.  Please take this opportunity to talk with your child about healthy food choices, portion control, budgeting, and self-control. Lunchroom employees and volunteers are unable to monitor and/or limit what your child orders at lunchtime. You can view your child’s lunchroom purchase history in FACTS.
