BUILDING STUDENTS’ LOVE OF LEARNING AND EXPLORATION
As students move into K5 – 4th grade, the educational focus shifts to equipping the students with skills to apply newly mastered content as independent thinkers who take responsibility for their own learning and progress. Our newly adopted curriculums (for literacy – Fountas and Pinnell, and math – Go Math), technology integration, and experiential opportunities help develop critical thinking and creative problem solving while engaging our students with real-world applications. Field trips and theme days within education topics further bring learning to life and help students apply what they are discovering. Students must have a birthday by September 1st and be the appropriate age in order to be considered for a particular class (ex.: a student must be 5 by Sept. 1st to be considered for K5).
